Just when you thought it was safe to put away your pencil and take off your thinking cap, the Fairtrade Foundation (UK) has brought out an exiting and educational fair trade themed online sudoku game. According to the site, "There are increasing levels of difficulty depending on your level of skill so get started today - you can even save your last score and pick up where you left off on your next break." Gameplay: The game is easy to pick up if you have ever played sudoku (wikipedia):
Fairtrade Sudoku allows you to guess a value of a box and then through a process of elimination figure out where each shape fits into the grid. The big difference from the original sudoku is that instead of using numbers 1-9; Fairtrade Sudoku uses symbols representing different fair trade products: Bananas for bananas; coffee beans for coffee; tea cup for tea; chocolate bar for cocoa; wine glass for wine; cake for sugar; carton for juice; pineapple for fruit and t-shirt for cotton. There is a mouthful...of fair trade deliciousness! Fair trade lessons appear after you choose each item: about producer groups and retail outlets, where consumers are able to purchase the goods. {cptags} |
